Could You Be Our Next Volunteer?

The National B.A.M.E Health & Care Awards is looking for passionate people to join our team

Who We Are

The National B.A.M.E Health & Care Awards was founded in 2019 to do one thing: amplify the voices, celebrate the contributions, and champion the leadership of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic professionals in health and social care. Now entering our seventh annual awards cycle in September 2026, we are one of the most recognised platforms for B.A.M.E. excellence in the UK health and care sector.

We are a volunteer-powered, mission-driven organisation. Everything we do — from the annual awards ceremony to the B.I.D.E Workforce Summit — is built on the commitment, skills, and passion of people who believe that equity in healthcare is not optional. It is essential.

We are growing our volunteer team for 2026.

We have a small number of positions available, and we are looking for individuals whose skills, values, and drive align with our mission. We are not advertising titles or rigid job descriptions. We are looking for the right people — and we will work with you to find where you fit best.

The Skills and Experience We Are Looking For

We are currently looking for volunteers who bring one or more of the following skill sets. You do not need to cover every area – just tell us what you bring and where your strengths lie.

01

Communications, Inquiries & Stakeholder Engagement

You are a confident communicator who builds relationships with ease. You can manage correspondence and inquiries professionally, represent an organisation warmly and credibly, and sustain engagement with partners, supporters, and the public.

02

Partnerships & Organisational Development

You understand how to identify, approach, and develop partnerships. You can spot opportunities, open doors, and build the kind of relationships that create lasting value for the organisation.

03

Administration & Operations

You are the kind of person who notices what others miss and fixes it before it becomes a problem. You bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

04

Patron & Ambassador Relationship Management

You are comfortable engaging with senior professionals and public figures. You can build trust quickly, manage high-value relationships with discretion, and sustain meaningful engagement over time.

05

Fundraising & Sponsorship

You have experience identifying and securing financial or in-kind support — whether through grant applications, sponsorship proposals, donor development, or corporate fundraising.
